About Me

Joe was born in Scranton, PA where he discovered his love for pottery. Through the years he continued to explore new techniques in different types of construction and firings. By working with various clays and porcelains and varied firing techniques including Raku, his artistic abilities have expanded. Over the past 30 years, Joe has gained valuable and diverse knowledge through working with accomplished artists in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. Joe has taken many courses and workshops and has taught several classes. His next venture takes him to the beautiful, historic town of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, where he opened Magpie Pottery.
